Sella.co.nz is New Zealand's 2nd largest online auction and trading website. Selling your stuff for free is the Sella team's passion and providing NZ with a viable 2nd option in online trading is their end goal.

To do this Sella will listen to people and make the changes needed to keep fresh. Online trading should evolve with the internet and members should dictate the direction of the site. Sella is not scared to make the big calls when needed, and they can offer selling gateways for both private and business users.

New Zealanders have told us that they want to see a 2nd player in the NZ market other than TradeMe and Sella believes the time is now right to do so.

Key stats acheived only 12 months after launch back this up:

• 350,000 users each month
• 155,000 listings on the site at anyone time (doubled in the last 6 months)
• 100,000 + members and adding 2,000 each week

Sella intends to continue growing in NZ and will be expanding into the Austrlian market in July 2010. We don't want to be the 1,000 pound gorilla in a market the size of NZ, we want to back ourselves and take it offshore to compete with the world.

IdeaHQ Involvement

Sella.co.nz was founded by Shane Bradley (IdeaHQ CEO) & APN (50% shareholder of IdeaHQ) in October 2008. IdeaHQ owns 100% of the business and has supported it as it continues to grow exponentially.
